Cellulite Treatment

Reshape your body and your life

Dermotherapy® is an exclusive technique combining rolling massage and “reflexology. It combines vacuum-suction massage with a “palpating & rolling” technique, an efficient innovation for use in appearance medicine treatment (cellulite, lymphatic draining, face care), medical care (rheumatology, traumatology, reflex therapies) and sports therapy (muscular relaxation, tendonitis).

Cellulite is a condition, which affects 80-90% of the female population. It is often mistaken for being associated with obesity and overeating. This is not true. When the collection of fat cells become trapped in the connective fibrous tissue and the blood supply and lymphatic drainage from the area are compromised, cellulite is the unfortunate end result.

Dermotherapy®  enhances blood and lymphatic flow to areas prone to cellulite, increasing collagen and elastin and detoxifies, reducing its appearance.

What are the Benefits?

  • body contouring
  • reduces the appearance of cellulite
  • reduces fatty deposits on legs
  • stimulates lymphatic and blood circulation
  • reduces water retention
  • helps tone skin
  • stimulates collagen and elastin production in the dermis strengthening the overall skin

What is Dermotherapy®?
Dermotherapy® is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure used to treat cellulite in both ladies and men alike. The Dermotherapy® machine works on both suction and a rolling action combined. It lifts and stimulates the skin, thus increasing circulation, aiding in fluid retention and generally improves the overall appearance of the skin. Dermotherapy® helps the breakdown the cellulite and therefore re-defines the body shape.

How does Dermotherapy® work?
Dermotherapy® is an effective procedure that helps to eliminate cellulite and assists in achieving a viable improvement in body shape and skin tone. This strong deep tissue massage combines "palper- rouler" a french technique with vacuum massage. Suction draws tissue up between rollers to lift, fold and roll skin and subcutaneous tissue. By remodelling the fatty layer Dermotherapy®  reduces the dimpling and orange peel effect of cellulite.

Dermotherapy®includes a series of patented treatment-heads with mobile rollers that constantly adapt to the individual’s skin folds, offering greater efficiency and comfort thanks to their gentle action. There are four patented double suction cups for use with localized beauty treatment. Their deep and effective action will produce faster results on such things as old fibrous cellulite, which is otherwise very difficult to treat.

Treatment conditions:  Bland cellulite• Oedema cellulite• Tonic cellulite• Slimming• Lymphatic drainage• Heavy legs• Face lymphatic drainage• Face reflex treatment• Wrinkles• Bust treatment• Neckline treatment• Anti stress.

How many treatments will I need?
A minimum of two sessions are needed weekly every week for approximately 5 weeks and then one session per week for a further 4 to 6 weeks. Within five to six sessions you will see changes with best result seen after an average of 14 treatments. You will also need to drink at least 1-2 litres of water per day ,diet and exercise to break the cellulite cycle.

What is cellulite ?
Cellulite is the uneven dimpling or “orange peel” or "cottage cheese" appearance of the skin . Located mainly, but not exclusively, on the hips, thigh, buttocks & abdomen. This appearance is much more common in women than in men because of differences in the way fat, muscle, and connective tissue are distributed in men and women's skin. Although female hormones may play a role in contributing to this fat distribution, cellulite is not treatable by hormone therapy.

What causes Cellulite?
Cellulite is caused by clumps of fat cells that push up against surrounding fibrous connective tissue. Growing fat cells (adipocytes) destroy the network of collagen and elastin fibers, which then thicken around these cells forming hard pockets of fat, encroaching on vascular and lymphatic vessels. These hardened pockets of fat are the cause of the "orange peel" or "cottage cheese" appearance known as cellulite. The inherent thinning of skin's support structure makes fat cells more obvious.

Is Cellulite a symptom of being over-weight?
Cellulite is not just an overweight issue. Factors influencing cellulite include genetic predisposition, hormones, hydration, diet, exercise, stress and medications.

The 3 layers of Fat

  • Layer 1: Superficial Layer of fat (cellulite)
  • Layer 2: Type of fat, which you can control with exercise or diet
  • Layer 3: Type of fat, which women develop with pregnancy

(Long breast-feeding encourages fast weight loss)

You can improve layers 2 and 3 with diet, exercise or liposuction BUT once layer 1 has been developed, it can only be treated with Demotherapy or strong manipulation/massage of the skin. Liposuction only treats layers 2 & 3.

How does Dermotherapy® treat cellulite?
There are three key steps to the Dermotherapy® treatment when treating cellulite:

  • Firstly - the congested lymph and waste system needs to be cleared
  • Secondly - fibrosis around the hardened pockets of fat needs to be softened or broken down, and
  • thirdly - the weak network of collagen and elastin fibers needs to be strengthened and re-modelled

resulting in strengthening the skin, forcing stubborn fat cells back invisibly below the surface - and keeping them there.

What does it cost?
Dermotherapy® cellulite treatments are covered under the "Your Skincare" Program. An Advanced Skin Analysis and comprehensive Cellulite assessment are completed prior to the commencement of any course.  Individual treatments are available at a one off price($149.95). A minimum of 14 sessions is recommended (two sessions are needed weekly every week for approximately 5 weeks and then one session per week for a further 4 to 6 weeks.) With our Your Skincare Program we have treatment plans available that reduce the individual cost significantly, down to as little as $90 per session.

A typical cellulite treatment plan would consist of 18 sessions - 14 treatment sessions and 4 monthly maintenance sessions. Alongside having the treatment you should follow a healthy diet, have regular exercise and drink plenty of water to help eliminate toxins from the body. Avoid caffeine, smoking and junk food.
