Microdermabrasion is a very popular cosmetic procedure. It is, in fact, the second most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure performed today in USA.
Microdermabrasion is ideally suited for a person who has aged skin or skin that has been damaged by the sun, is effective in reducing fine lines, "crow's feet," and acne scars. Microdermabrasion treatments polish and soften the skin, reducing fine lines on the face and stimulate the production of skin cells and collagen.
Since the procedure is virtually painless and almost no side effects, Micro-Dermabrasion is the perfect tool to use to enhance your skin. In addition to the face, microdermabrasion can be successfully used on the neck, arms and hands. It is also beneficial for patients with darker skin types.

Repeated treatments yield excellent results for scar revision (whether from acne, chicken pox, or even surgery scars) as well as deep discolouration and melasma. Your skin is rejuvenated with an overall fresh, healthy-looking glow.

As with other skin rejuvenation techniques, more than one treatment may be needed to reduce or remove fine wrinkles and unwanted pigmentation. We recommend a minimum of four treatments, at 2 to 3 week intervals for best results. However, many people continue treatments when they see continuous improvement in their skin's appearance.

The sensation of pain is extremely variable from one person to another. As Microdermabrasion is non-invasive, for most people it is virtually pain free. The controls on the machine are regulated by your therapist to suit your skin type, tone and area of treatment. Following the treatment your skin may feel tingly with a sensation similar to that of mild windburn.

Not all wrinkles and scarring can be treated using microdermabrasion. If you have deeply wrinkled lines or deep acne scars (pocks), then microdermabrasion may not be a strong enough treatment. The best way to find out what microdermabrasion can and cannot do for you is to have a one-on-one consultation.
